Applications: This equipment is primarily used for the exploration and research of parameters related to the preparation of solid dispersions for solubilization and taste-masking. With an experimental batch size as low as 10mg, it serves to pre-screen formulations before scaling up to industrial production or pilot runs with Hot-Melt Extruders (HME).
Principle: The powder material is compressed by a compression rod under vacuum to exhaust air and achieve densification. High-energy heat provided by the temperature control platform causes the material to gradually melt and inter-diffuse, forming a fluid. The fluid is contained within a sealed mold cavity; once the hot-melt equilibrium is reached, the cooling platform rapidly solidifies the fluid to obtain the finished tablet.
Features:
-
Low Sample Requirement: The mold supports extremely low loading, requiring as little as 10mg per experiment. This significantly reduces experimental costs while still meeting the material requirements for testing.
-
User-Friendly: The device features a simple design, convenient installation, and an easy learning curve for operators.
-
Dual Platforms: Integrated heating and rapid cooling platforms help minimize the degradation of related substances/components within the finished product after the hot-melt process.
